ManpowerGroup Australia – WGEA Gender Pay Gap 2026

WGEA 2026 Gender Pay Gap Results | ManpowerGroup Australia Update

3 March 2026

ManpowerGroup Australia welcomes the release of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) 2026 employer Gender Pay Gap results, which provide national transparency into gender equality performance across the workforce in Australia. The new data covering approx. 5.9 million workers, shows that employer gender pay gaps have continued to narrow, with more organisations now falling within the target improvement range compared to previous years.

This year’s reporting confirms that ManpowerGroup Australia has a gender pay gap of 5.7% when including all associates on assignment, reflecting our broader workforce footprint. When focusing on our internal employee population only, our gender pay gap shifts to -5.6%, meaning women earn slightly more than men on average. Both figures are outcomes we are extremely proud of, as they reflect our long‑standing commitment to equitable processes, transparent talent pathways, and fair decision‑making across all roles and levels within our organisation

Our 88% female representation on the SLT reflects the strength of our internal talent pipeline and consistency of our structured and transparent processes for promotion.

These outcomes are the result of sustained, deliberate work over many years. Our equitable systems, decision‑making processes, and culture of development have enabled women across our business to progress into meaningful leadership roles. We are encouraged that these internal practices align with broader WGEA findings, which show that employers who closely examine how managers recruit, reward and promote talent are making the most significant progress towards closing their gender pay gaps.

While we are proud of our achievements, we acknowledge that our work is ongoing. WGEA’s national results highlight that more than half of Australian employers still have a gender pay gap greater than 11.2% in favour of men, demonstrating that collective action remains essential across industries.

ManpowerGroup Australia remains committed to strengthening gender equality across all parts of our organisation. We will continue reviewing and refining our systems, policies, and culture to ensure they support fairness, opportunity and an inclusive experience for every employee - regardless of gender.

Importantly, we also look forward to working collaboratively with our clients, associates, and partners to leverage our strengths, share learnings, and identify opportunities that contribute to the national, collective effort to accelerate gender equality. As a workforce solutions leader, we recognise the critical role we can play in influencing positive change across the labour market.

ManpowerGroup Australia is proud of the progress reflected in this year’s data, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating a fairer, more inclusive future of work for all.
